King County 200703 1.0 vector digital data This Parcel layer utilizes the geometry and schema changes in the new cadastral geodatabase model. This includes stacked polygon geometry for undivided interest and vertical parcels and new coded value domain for item MINOR, described below. The new parcel_area Feature Class, derived from the new Cadastral Geodatabase (KCAM), replaces the countywide parcel coverage and shapefile previously derived from Recdnet data. Items PIN, MAJOR, MINOR, will still be present in both SDE feature class and shapefile, however coded value changes for item MINOR are as follows: 5555 are now be coded as 'ROAD' 5999 are now be coded as 'RDNA' (Road No Access) 6666 (type 5 water) are now be coded as 'HYDR' 6666 (type 1 property) are now be coded as 'UNKN' (Unknown) 8888 are now be coded as '0000' (4-zeros) 9999 are now be coded 'PUBL' 7777 (Tract with undivided interest) are now be coded as TRCT (default value) or with 'TR-*' Multiple domain values exist for values that begin with TR- For example, where a plat lists a tract as "Tract A" or "Tract 1" the minors would be the following, TR-A and TR-1 respectively. Other examples are: TR-B through TR-Z, TR-1 through TR-9, as well as other possible combinations. These specific tract minor numbers will only exist for new or edited plats; otherwise they will carry the TRCT default. A current review of the database schema is underway to evaluate an improved methodology for defining TRCT and TR variations as a single group. The other significant change is that now Undivided Interest and Vertical parcels are represented by stacked polygon geometry.
